Triple Bogey Men’s League

Thank you for your continued support of the best league in the country!  While we had hoped that we would be doing the same great things as years past, this pesky little virus has put a hold on our league.  As we continue to learn more information from the Ontario Government, we will make decision based on best best practices and safety first.  Stay tuned for future news about the start of league, there will be some changes, but we are used to this already.

Welcome to the Triple Bogey Brewery Men’s League! 2019 was an incredible season with record numbers in participants.  Golfers enjoyed the competition, the friendships and the great times had both on and off the golf course.  Unfortunately we did not have a Million Dollar winner last season but maybe just maybe 2020 will be the year!

We are excited to announce we’ll be using a new online scoring system specifically designed for our league.  Thanks to this unique web based program players can track their individual and team performance, and we now have the ability to display live scoring on the club TV’s!

The idea behind the program is simple… the more you play – the better it is for you and your team.  Our goal is to have a minimum of 96 participants this year – 8 teams with 12 players on each team – but we’ll adjust that based on the sign-up.  FYI: The teams are for scoring purposes only.  You are free to play with whomever you please on a league day.  We’re excited again about this format and with your help we know it’ll be great.

Home of the Million Dollar Shootout

For the Regular Season, teams will play head-to-head matches in a round robin with the winners of each weekly match earning 10 points, 5 points per team if there is a tie and 0 for teams that lose. But, and this is important – participation is a big part of this format  – teams receive 1 point for each participant who posts a score as long as they reach the minimum number of players required (6).  A team score will be determined by the total of the two (2) lowest gross scores and the four (4) lowest net scores posted by the team.

If by some quirk of fate you don’t count toward the team total on any particular week you can almost assuredly count on being singled out and suitably labeled a Useless Bastard on both the TV and this very website!  All in good fun of course!  You will, however, earn a valuable participation point and, of course, you can always step it up and count the following week.

Don’t worry the ever popular Million Dollar Shootout will be back for another exciting year.  20 lucky qualifiers through our weekly closest to the pin contest will have the opportunity to shoot for a million dollars on our final night Friday September 25th, 2020.

One of the hi-lights of the program is the actual real-time scoring.  As the Pro Shop staff enter the individual scores, the standings, individual performances (good/bad), Skins and Team vs. Team information is updated in real-time on the Internet.  League Player’s who can’t make it one week or those stranded at the office until later in the day can log onto the league website to see how their team is doing.  Another bonus is the program actually maintains a separate league handicap so you can stop worrying because each team will be balanced with an equal number of low, mid and high handicappers!   Handicaps are automatically updated and applied based solely on your league scores.  That, my friends, is pretty good.

The cost of the Triple Bogey Brewery Men’s Night is $500 plus H.S.T. and $100 plus H.S.T. for Sutton Creek Members.  This includes 20 nine hole rounds, your year end dinner and prizing and the chance to qualify to shoot for a million dollars.  We will be hosting a League Team Draft Party to establish teams on Wednesday April 28th, 2020 from 5 pm until 8 pm.  This will also be our registration night for both returning league members and new members.  We ask all of you to attend and to kickoff the 2020 season with a bang.

To really make this work we need eight enthusiastic, if not competent gentlemen to act as captains for the 2020 season.  Prospective Captains can rest easy – the skills required to head up a team are few – we’d like you to play on a regular basis and, because success in this format relies heavily on participation, you’ll want to rally the “troops”.  If you would like to help us out by acting as a team captain please send an email to either Cory ( or Jeff (

After an extremely successful season in 2019 all of us our looking forward to another competitive season and are excited to welcome back existing league members and new members for 2020.  If any of you know of golfers within our community looking for an exciting league to participate in please pass on this information to them.  Get on board and join Windsor-Essex County’s best golf league.
